BEAUTIFUL FUNCTIONAL POTTERY
After twenty five years at her shop in Stockholm, Diane Millner is semi-retired, but still making her pots. Her pots are still available in the same lovely yellow Cape Cod house next to the railroad tracks in Stockholm, but the store is now called The Purple Turtle Artisan Collective. The new proprietor, Amanda Scholz, is an amazing woman with some very interesting, fresh and funky creations from around the country. In addition to Amanda's inventory, you will find your favorite Diane Millner pots in her store. During the Fresh Art Spring Tour the weekend of June 2 - 4, 2017, Diane will be showing her pots in the backyard of the shop. Hope to see you then!
Diane Millner in her home studio on Goatback Road outside of Pepin, Wisconsin. All of her pots are thrown on a potter's wheel. She makes functional pottery for everyday use that is as beautiful as it is sturdy.
Stoneware to use and love
Diane makes a wide variety of pots, ranging from her popular berry bowls, microwave egg cookers, and french butter keepers, to Japanese-style garden lanterns. She emphasizes that her pots are made to be used, and takes special care to make sure they serve their function well by focusing on details like comfortable handles and smooth bottoms. All of Diane's work is lead-free and dishwasher safe.
